Our History

Our founder, Jill Kelly, was sitting at home seeing the news when it reached the point where inaction was no longer possible. One nextdoor post later, Americans for Democracy was founded. We’ve gone from 40 people attending a meeting, to having hosted protests with hundreds of people from all over the Central Minnesota region.
What began as a conversation at a community meeting, became a growing movement.
